hey, friends. welcome to the weekend! just thought i should drop you a little note to tell you that the chicken noodle soup competition has been extended a week. so, the last day that you can bring in soup is december 9th.

right now, we have 129 cans, but i think with a group our size we can get at least 500 cans! just think, edge could be part of bringing some relief to hungry families at christmas time! what's better than that?

also, for every person that brings in more than 20 cans, i will have a small prize to give them.

if you brought in soup last week and want to bring in more, i'll just add that to your total. remember, the winner gets a $50 gift card to either starbucks or best buy.

okay, i've given you lots of incentive, but here's a verse to remind you what the real motivation should be!

"Is this not the kind of fasting [the Lord] has chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke?...Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter?...Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I."
