Congrats Team Bahamas!

The 2007 Edge Games Champion is Team Bahamas! Way to go all you Bahamians. You fought hard from last place after the first week to this year's champs. One of the ways that you won the competition was with a week 3 record roster of over 70 students on your team, with each student worth 4,000 points. I am proud of your team, and all the teams that made The Edge Games so much fun! Nice job bringing friends too. We had 312 students there last night, and all the more that heard the awesome message of Jesus Christ!

There will be no Edge next Friday!

The Ski Splash Weekend is coming up in 2 weeks on February 10-11, so get your registration in ASAP! It was due last night, but we will take them if you get them in very soon!

The next Edge will be Friday, February16!

Good job bahamas. I think that you deserve that torch. Even though we lost i still had lot's of fun. though i don't like the game were we make a shape with our group....we are really bad at that!

My two friends are on the winning team and just wanted to say congratz to Bridget and Maggie K. and all of bahamas! (another maggie-not me.)

YEAH!!! BAHAMAS RULE!!! Good job, though, Uruguay, Aruba, Togo, and Cambodia. Remember Djibouti, theres always next year. I thought we were going to lose after the first night when we were bringing up the rear. All I can say about the second week is that we dominated! 3rd week i thought we had 3rd place but insted we won by alot. cya todd a long time from now because I wont be able to make it to ski- splash. Bahamas were good sports.... except for the people who choked and bit us. Go Uruaguay!

Next year Uruaguay will take the trophy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:0:)

next year hopefully the team that wins won't cheat by biting and choking people!!!!

Yeah go bahamas!!!! And for all you people who think we cheated with choking and stuff that was like one or two people. Not everybody does that stuff. think 2 out of around 80 people is only 2 percent. not a large number. well anyway thanks to every team and leader for providing great fun and competition (even if it did sometimes get out of control)

hey todd i think you should put the sport center videos and highlight stuff on the blog.

fuhry said...

Actually it would be 2.25 percent, but you are right in saying that it wasn't the whole team cheating.

for those of you who asked, the sportscenter videos will be put on the blog soon.
Watch for them!

Why is the Bahamas' color green if their flag colors are black, yellow, and blue? Perhaps because the colors yellow and blue make green, but what about Uruguay? I mean, we're black, but the flag is blue and white!!! I don't get these colors...

I think the colors have nothing to do with the flag...key word here: THINK..I'm not sure. There is just a random color for each team. Todd, is that true? I'm not sure...

Anonymous said...

my answer to the color problem is that why does it matter.... if you are green, black, orange, blue, red,or purple it didn't matter. it came to talent and after they were done there cruise (the first week) the bahamas beat everyone.

if you want to get in to the habits that todd was speaking about then it is so much easier when you do it with a friend. there are many ways you can do this. first, you could get your friend to do it wth you, or what would be easier would be to goin a small group. I, personly, think that one of the best things about edge is the fact that you get to have a small group. So if you are thinking about goining a small group I would.

i noticed that the edge games brought a lot of people in to the
edge world. Why don't we have 2 super bog wars. it would last 2-3 weeks and it would bring just as many of people. or you could have another edge games...

I'm devastated that Cambodia lost again. Our team spirit and strength should have pulled us throung. But noooooooooooo......we have to get in 5th place! >:( Todd, did you see the spirit stick we made? and all our efforts to be quiet and to get pounts from that? I'm guessing not. I've been on Cambodia for 2 years now, and we've lost both times. Last year Cambodia came in.......2nd or 3rd (can't remember) But there were also cheating teams that desereved not to have one *cough*Djibouti*cough*
SOME TEAM *cough* Djibouti *cough* was cheating when playing the tube game on the final week. When pretty much all of our team was out getting more tubes, some of the players from the other team, took advantage of that opening point, and stole some of our tubes and pillows before our team could stop them. And they didn't even get disqualified!!!!not even a couple thousand minused points! All they got was a repremanding! Can you say favoratism??

And todd? i've got a request: Can high schoolers participate too? My friend Janey (the one who's moving next monday) is going to be a high schooler next year, and it would be awsome if she could come down to visit and participate in the Edge games. I'm also going to be a high schooler in a year (next school year i'm going to be an eigth grader) and I would like to be able to still enjoy the awsomeness of the games. Could you think about it please?

Todd Iannetta said...

to answer some of your questions...the colors were chosen at random like maggie said. High schools students unfortunately cannot be a part of The Edge Games. It is only for 6th through 8th graders.
Also, there was no favoritism shown, I had no idea who would win at the end, I just gave out points.

My friend brought me to all of the edge games, i was on bahammas, it was cool when we won, but i really would like to congradulate all of the teams, everyone played great!

Anonymous said...

hey, i ain't gonna tell ya what team i was on but everyone played great, bahamma's for winning and never giving up, Urugy for accepting loss with dignity, togo for their awsome super fan, djbouti for playing hard all the way even though the lost, and the other teams too!

good job guys, good job..

i ment "they" not "the"

Anonymous said...

I can't wait till next year

if you guys are wondering wy you have not won think about how teams there are....6...and three years, so if you are complaning that you have not won you have only a 50% chance of winning ( if you don't cheat and switch teams ) so if you are in your last year of edge and you have not won you got on the short end of the stick. that means that one half of the people aren't on the winning team even if they are in edge for all three years. so if you thin you're unlucky half of the kids are right there with you.

Anonymous said...

djibouti cheated! shame on them! todd, you should subtract points for cheating and unfair play because people are getting away with A LOT of things that they shouldn't.

Anonymous said...

I agree you have to take away points for cheating (bahamas) something much more serious than booing for cheating!!!

Anonymous said...

togo is stil the champs of cheering though.

the edge games rox my sox!!!

Anonymous said...

i don't beleive that at least 1 member on a certian team didn't cheat, i think peps should just be happy that we even had great people to start the edge games!
